It’s 2024 and with the election coming up, celebrities are beginning to make it known which side they are on. Well loved celebrities such as Billie Eilish, Taylor Swift, and Olivia Rodrigo are publicly announcing they side with the Harris campaign. While other celebrities such as Kanye West, Elon Musk, and Bryce Hall support Trump 2024. But, some celebrities such as Chappel Roan refuse to say who they are siding with, stirring up all kinds of controversy.
Celebrities siding with Kamala Harris are not ashamed to make their opinion known. American singer and songwriter Billie Eilish makes her vote clear as she posts on her Instagram a video with her brother Finneas, explaining why she thinks she is making the right choice.
“We are voting for Kamala Harris and Tim Walz because they are fighting to protect our reproductive freedom, our planet, and our democracy,” Ellish said.
Famous singer Taylor Swift has been endorsing the Biden campaign since 2020 and her famous “Biden Harris 2020” cookies have been posted over the internet. Taylor this year makes an Instagram post, in clearly stating her vote for her fans and haters to see.
Olivia Rodrigo, another well loved singer, met Biden and Kamala in 2021 and continues to side with Harris in 2024. Just like the others, Olivia had used Instagram to repost a TikTok clip from the Democratic Presidential nominee’s very first rally.
Taking a turn from the other group of celebrities, Bryce Hall, an American media personality, Kanye West an American rapper, and Elon Musk the CEO of Tesla, joins Trump with his 2024 campaign.
Bryce Hall joins Trump on stage during his rally in Las Vegas. Being called up by Trump himself, Hall takes the microphone and uses his chance to side with Trump in front of thousands of viewers.
Kanye has been supporting Trump since the 2016 election shamelessly. In February of this year, the paparazzi asked Kanye for his thoughts on the upcoming election and if he would be endorsing Trump once again.
“Of course, it’s Trump all day!” West said.
During another Trump Rally on October 5 of this year, Musk got up on the stage with Trump and began jumping up and down as the crowd cheered. Displaying his support in a fun and carefree way.
Unlike the Kamala endorsements, these Trump ones were bold and way out there, going as far as standing on the stage with the man himself.
While all these other celebrities are picking sides together, Chappel Roan alone refuses to endorse either candidate, saying she believes both parties have problems of their own.
“Actions speak louder than words, and actions speak louder than an endorsement,” Roan said.
Stirring up all kinds of chaos, many thought a celebrity as big as her should voice her opinion and take an active part in the world around her. With just gaining her huge platform within the last year, her unwillingness to voice her opinion left her fans shocked and disappointed to say the least.
These endorsements are either causing chaos or popularity. Either way, celebrities are using this election to voice their opinions and to help others cast their vote in November.
