The students and faculty of Thousand Oaks High School welcome eighth graders onto campus for Future Lancer Night, an annual event that gives them an insight into what their future could look like next year.
The event allows incoming students to visit the campus and explore and familiarize themselves with the Lancer experience.
The event took place on Wednesday, Dec. 11, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m, and were set up to display the clubs and sports on campus that the incoming students are free to participate in.
The incoming freshmen who were interested in a club, sport, or specialized program such as ETHOS, were also able to learn more about the qualifications, events, and more that would be taking place if they chose to attend TOHS in the fall. The incoming students could also use this time to meet and discuss with any coaches or advisors to hear more information about a sport or club they are considering joining.
As well as talk with some of the students who are current members and hear their opinions and advice on any potential clubs.
Future Lancer Night has been a way for 8th graders to broaden their horizons and discover new interests that they might not have been familiar with. It is a way for them to get a feel for the upcoming year, beyond their regular academic classes.
