The Lancers left campus during lunch to travel to Temecula for their round two playoff game, and the ride wasn’t enough to stop the Lancers. Ball runs in the family, as sophomore Santiago Diaz scores the opening goal of the match giving the Lancers a 1-0 lead, junior Gabriel Torreblanca would score his third goal of the playoffs in the two short games giving the Lancers a commanding 2-0 advantage that would overall be too much for the Great Oak Wolfpack to overcome as the Lancer defense stood tall and strong providing a shutout to go along with the two strikes from the Lancers. The game would end at a score of Lancers 2 and Wolfpack 0 as the Lancers punched their ticket into the third round. The Lancers next match will be against Buena Park on Tuesday night.
